I'm Jenny, and I live in Waldorf, Maryland. I was born in July 2001 in Salisbury, Maryland, and was picked up by my mama, Kate, when I was nine weeks old.
I was brought to a house where I had plenty of company. Kate's sister has a husband and two girls. There were also other dogs to help me grow up. Buffy, a bull mastiff, is the alpha female, or so they say. There's also Sam the weimereimer (I hope I spelled that right), but she pretty much keeps to herself.
At the same time I came home, Kate's sister brought home two other pugs. Shiloh is black like me but with white spots on his chest, while Otis is a fawn pug. We have a lot of fun together. Then they got Heidi, a german shepherd puppy, who's now pretty well grown up.
In the summer of 2002 Kate and my daddy Alan got their own place and I went with them. It's a lot different now, since I'm the only dog in the house instead of being one of six. I've got the run of the house now, so I can hang in the office when Alan's working, or sitting in his lap while he's trying to work, or lying on the air conditioning vent, or flopping down on the cool kitchen floor, or sit in my beanbag chair.
I still get to see my friends at Kate's sister's house, since Kate and Alan go out of town a lot over the summer and bring me over to see Otis and Shiloh and Buffy and Heidi and Sam.
I was kind of overweight before moving out on my own, but now I'm much more fit thanks to lots of walking and exercise, and instead of getting treats I was given carrots for being good. Now that I'm slimmer I still like carrots, but also get tastes of other goodies including Pop Tarts, pretzels, and my favorite mints, Altoids. For quiet time I get to munch on a rawhide bone that I've been working on since July or one of a couple froggie dog chew toys that I will eventually destroy.
Kate and Alan are thinking that I need a new friend eventually. Kate wants another pug, while Alan likes beagles. I don't mind either way what they wind up getting, it'll be fun to have another dog to get into mischief with. But until then, I'll enjoy having them both to myself.
I hope you enjoy reading about what I do and looking at my pictures. I love hearing from other pugs, especially those from where I live, so please sign my guestbook or leave a message in the forum. Thanks for visiting!
